Getting around Nottingham

The quickest and easiest way around Nottingham is the tram.

Get the ‘Toton Lane’ tram from the Old Market Square, Lace Market, or Nottingham Railway Station stops to the ‘University of Nottingham’ stop.

If coming from the Toton Lane Park and Ride, get any tram towards the city and descend at ‘University of Nottingham’.

You can buy tickets at the machines on the tram stops: day passes cost £4.20 for unlimited travel (reduced fare for students).

The conference venue is a 10-15 minute walk through campus from the ‘University of Nottingham’ tram stop (at the South Entrance on the campus map).

The no. 34 ‘City Loop’ bus links the campus to the city centre (NB. not via the railway station)

If paying in cash, please note that the buses don’t give change.

The conference venue is a 8-10 minute walk through campus from the East Drive bus stop.

Local taxi firms include:

Notts Cars – 01159 19 19 19

DG Cars – 0115 9 500 500 or online

Nottingham Cars – 0115 9700 700

If arriving by car, please be aware that parking in Nottingham is limited.

There is some Pay and Display visitor parking on campus (the grey area between nos. 16 and 18 on the campus map), an 8-10 minute walk from the conference venue. If you are a blue badge holder, there is ample parking around campus, including a short, step-free distance from Highfield House.

Alternatively, there is a large Park and Ride at the west edge of Nottingham (Toton Lane), which is on an easy tram route to the University Park.
